Reading Rugby Foundation is keen to involve young people from the Reading urban area, by giving them a chance to try rugby and explore what it has to offer. This will be through introductory sessions run by qualified coaches, at locations where young people’s physical activity levels are low and social cohesion recognised as weak. 

 

The activity will be carefully structured to familiarise inexperienced youngsters with basic game play, initially in a non-contact form of the sport. Over the weeks of each course, players will develop their running, passing and kicking skills, and start to understand the decision-making that the game requires. RFU safeguarding standards will be followed and all coaches DBS checked.
